The CFDA has released the official 2020 Fashion calendar and if you’re looking to attend any of these upcoming events, now’s the time to save the date(s). The list starts with the first Men’s NY Fashion Week of the year debuting the coming Fall/Winter 2020 collections. The event runs from Monday, February 3 and spans to Wednesday the 5th and will showcase designers like Todd Snyder, Victor Li and Carter Young. NYFW: Womens Edition kicks off Friday February 7th through Tuesday, Feb 11. Designers like Jeremy Scott, Rebecca Minkoff, Laquan Smith, Tory Burch, Oscar De La Renta, Vera Wang, Christian Cowan and so many more will be on the runway.
If you’re going to be in Los Angeles during this week, you can also experience Fashion Week as Tom Ford will be debuting his new collection in LA on February 7th. As Chairman of the CFDA Tom Ford has been given the responsibility of breathing new life into the traditional NYFW experience but that hasn’t stopped him from being flexible with his brand and showing up for his clientele. Ford previously opted to showcase his designs on the west coast as opposed to the traditional approach in 2015. His show was held in Los Angeles to accommodate celebs who would be in town for the Academy Awards. This year the 92nd Oscars will be held during Fashion Week on February 9th at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood and Ford is again making the best of his time.
Following Women’s NYFW will be Bridal Week April 16-20th. June 8th the 2020 CFDA Fashion Awards will take place. Last years winner was luxury womens ready-to-wear designer, Brandon Maxwell who will also be debuting a new collection during NYFW: Women’s at 8pm Feb 8th. June 9th through the end of the year designers will begin showing their Spring/Summer 2021 Mens and Womens collections and that will wrap up the first year of fashion events of the new decade.
