5 Foods to eat before shooting!

We all have lives outside of our careers, But being a content creator requires upkeep even in the off season. It doesn’t matter if you do runway, print, high fashion, or even standard content creation (YouTube, InstaGram etc.). We want to look and feel our best for the Lens of the camera, that is sometimes unforgiving. It is common knowledge to stay away from grease, sugar and carb filled foods before shooting. “Doesn’t that sound like a diet to you”? “It sure does to me”. The word DIET is always associated with loss. We immediately think in our minds no more this no more that. Which is kinda true. However, Diet just means foods and drinks that are regularly consumed. Some foods can cause bloating and breakouts, that can lower confidence and make you feel groggy. You know that doesn’t translate well on camera. With that being said here are 5 foods we can add to our diet to prevent bloating and even breakouts.

Is a great alternative to rice. It has a similar texture without all the heavy carbs. It’s gluten free and quick to prepare.

Pineapple it’s a sweet and savory snack that contains an enzyme called bromelain, which breaks down protein and aids in the digestion process. It is also low in sodium and loaded with 180 milligrams of potassium per cup.

Green Tea

Green Tea is a great source of antioxidants and it has some great benefits. It can reduce inflammation in your digestive tract. Which is so important especially when you are eating on the go.

Avocados can help prevent uncomfortable bloating, Like bananas and other fruits. An  avocado can have up to 360 milligrams per ¼. Which can also “help your body flush out sodium, and excess water.

Ginger contains gingerol, which can help the stomach release gas, which cuts down on bloating.

In Conclusion, introducing foods that can keep you camera ready for a shoot, or even daily life is not a painstaking task. You can add or substitute  them in at your pace and feel great in the process. So keep yourself ready in and out of season with some simple foods that make you feel great.
